The successful candidate will be developing and maintaining software for our laboratory information management systems as well as supporting other kinds of analysis.

Candidates should have at least the equivalent of a B.S. degree in Computer Science and meet the following additional requirements.

Required skills and experience:

• Work experience with most of these: UNIX, Java, SQL, XML, GWT, and scripting languages.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with testing frameworks.

Desirable experience:

• Extensive knowledge of UNIX, SQL, or Tomcat.
• Knowledge of software best practices.
• Knowledge of and experience with JUnit.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics software tools.
