The Dispenser Assembly

The Robotics laboratory works closely with the production and informatics teams to identify and automate tedious and error prone laboratory routines with the aim of improving sequence quality and reducing its cost. This can involve the integration of instruments from different manufacturers into a complete system or, when there is no commercially available instrument, the design and construction of novel equipment.

Further to the development role, the robotics lab performs the vast majority of the center's equipment maintenance. This includes the servicing of commercial robots, refrigeration and ongoing support for custom instruments.
