Sequencing the 34 million bases of the social amoeba Dictyostelium discoideum is an international collaboration between European and American centers. At Baylor, the effort is shared between the lab of Adam Kuspa and the HGSC. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health, through the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development.
